As a receptionist/optical assistant, how confident are you at adjusting a patients frame when in front of them?

Remove the fear of frame fitting and adjusting!

This all day hands-on adjustments course will provide you with the skills and confidence to perform adjustments on patient’s spectacles whether it is during the dispensing process, the fitting appointment (collection) or if they have come back after sitting on them (although they never admit it)!
You will also benefit in learning how to provide the perfect fitting appointment when they come to collect their eyewear which includes all the minor adjustments and the psychology of reassuring your patient that they have great fitting eyewear and understand how to care and look after their new purchase.

The day includes learning about the different frame materials and why they handle differently when they need to be fitted to different face shapes along with how to fit frames for a developing child whose facial anatomy is changing as they mature.

Other objectives for the day include fitting the frame behind a patients ear, nose pad alignment in relation to the patients nose, re-threading nylon cords including the figure of 8, rimless adjustments including the new plug insert styles where you will learn how to replace and re-insert a patients own lens.
